Probably cause the devs still want it to be a 'mobile base' so you can charge anywhere near a heat source without having a base around, but yeah, this idea would also help. When you get to the end of the game you can recharge your cyclops with heat and if you have power cell chargers you don’t have to keep switching batteries to charge them all.
